On behalf of our client, the world’s #1 in mobile micro-credits, we are seeking a highly qualified Software Engineer in Athens, to join its team of highly skilled professionals in its Operations Center in Greece and other countries. Through 40 telco partners our client is providing financial inclusion to over 600 million consumers in Africa, Middle East, Asian Pacific and Latin America via a variety of mobile financial services such as Airtime Credit, Mobile Money Loans, Mobile Device Finance, B2C Loan Apps, E-Commerce Credit Solutions and Marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation & support of security systems
• Troubleshooting of complex problems on critical infrastructure & production networks
• Perform network/system/application/log intrusion detection analysis
• Automate security analysis, administration and remediation procedures, workflows and tasks
• Ongoing management and operation of the security infrastructure (including administration/troubleshooting/patch management)

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology field
• Good knowledge and experience in methodologies such as Operating Systems, Scripting languages, Databases (SQL, PostgreSQL) etc.
• 5 years of experience in Information Security or relevant roles
• Experience in  Linux  and Debian or Ubuntu distributions
• Knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across computing platforms
• Any knowledge and experience of IPS, DAM and Firewall solutions will be considered as an advantage
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and work as a team member
• Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies
• Ability to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure and strict attention to detail
• Excellent judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of advanced security solutions (Deep Packet Inspection, etc., Privilege Access Management, SIEM)
• Relevant master degree
• Any other relevant qualifications
