On behalf of our client, the world’s #1 in mobile micro-credits, we are seeking a highly qualified Software Engineer in Athens, to join its team of highly skilled professionals in its Operations Center in Greece and other countries. Through 40 telco partners our client is providing financial inclusion to over 600 million consumers in Africa, Middle East, Asian Pacific and Latin America via a variety of mobile financial services such as Airtime Credit, Mobile Money Loans, Mobile Device Finance, B2C Loan Apps, E-Commerce Credit Solutions and Marketplaces.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Execute manual and automated test cases
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Automate test cases and procedures
  • Support User Acceptance Testing with Client
  • Improve/add procedures for most efficient testing of the products
  • Work close to Project Delivery and Key Account Managers in order to deliver product in best quality on time
  • Align with Client in order to support and investigate/identify any unexpected behavior on live environment

 Requirements

  • BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field will be considered a plus
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Software Testing
  • Knowledge of Software Life Cycle
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills and team working mentality
  • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and creative environment
  • Pro-activeness, accountability and results orientation
  • Hard working attitude and willingness to commit on projects
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Test Director Platforms (HP Quality Center, TestLink or similar)
  • Bug tracking Systems (Jira, Bugzilla, or similar) experience
  • Unix, Linux, Windows knowledge
  • Scripting Languages knowledge (Bash, PHP, Python, Perl) and/or Java/C.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium or similar)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Protocols HTTP, TCP/IP familiarity
  • Knowledge of the following will be considered as a plus:
  • Collaboration Tools (Confluence)
  • CI tools (Jenkins)
  • PostgreSQL
  • Wireshark/tcpdump/Ethereal
  • Dockers
  • SNV/Git
