On behalf of our client, the world’s #1 in mobile micro-credits, we are seeking a highly qualified Software Engineer in Athens, to join its team of highly skilled professionals in its Operations Center in Greece and other countries. Through 40 telco partners our client is providing financial inclusion to over 600 million consumers in Africa, Middle East, Asian Pacific and Latin America via a variety of mobile financial services such as Airtime Credit, Mobile Money Loans, Mobile Device Finance, B2C Loan Apps, E-Commerce Credit Solutions and Marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth installation and operation of hardware and software on Servers
• Ensure safe and accurate backup and restore, data availability, integrity and security of all systems and data
• Follow up IT security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in place and ensure compliance of all systems and apps under responsibility
• Ensure all procedures are well documented
• Pro-actively monitor systems, applications, network

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field will be considered a plus
• Strong hands-on technical infrastructure skills on Servers (linux)
• Linux security hardening knowledge
• Experience on working with virtualization technologies (VMWare)
• A clear understanding of SAN storage technologies (HP)
• Basic Microsoft Windows knowledge
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent communication skills and team working mentality
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Ability to travel
• Ability to demonstrate innovation, good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and creative environment
• Hard working attitude and willingness to commit on projects
• Pro-activeness, accountability and results orientation
